How to Ace Your Interview at Taskify
Preparation is Key
To maximize your chances of success at Taskify, we highly recommend thorough preparation. Here are a few tips to help you stand out during our interview process:
- Focus on One Role: Rather than applying to multiple positions, focus on one specific project or internship. Tailor your application to that role, research it in-depth, and be prepared to discuss your relevant experience and why you’re motivated for this particular opportunity.
- Showcase Your Learning: If you’ve engaged with online learning materials (e.g., courses, tutorials) related to the role, mention them! We value candidates who are proactive about expanding their knowledge.
- Prepare for Technical Interviews: Review your coding skills and practice on platforms like LeetCode. Be ready to solve problems and explain your thought process clearly.
Our Hiring Process
At Taskify, we evaluate candidates in three phases:
- Recruiter Phone Call
- Technical Phone Screen
- Final Decision
Phase 1: Recruiter Phone Call
Objective: Assess your basic suitability for the role. This call typically lasts around 15 minutes. We’ll ask a few general questions, and at the end, you’ll have the chance to ask any questions you might have.
Key Questions:
- “What is your expected graduation date?”
- “How long is your internship available for—3, 4, or 6 months?”
- “When are you available to start?”
- “Are you ready to commit to a full-time or part-time role?”
- “Can you tell us about a project you’ve worked on that’s similar to this role?”
- “What learning resources (e.g., online courses) are you using to prepare for this role?”
What We Assess:
- Communication: How clearly and confidently do you present yourself?
- Depth: Are your answers thoughtful, detailed, and reflective of your experience?
- Curiosity: Do the questions you ask demonstrate genuine interest and insight?
Phase 2: Technical Phone Screen
Objective: Assess your technical skills, problem-solving ability, and cultural fit. The technical phone screen will last 1 hour. We’ll spend 30 minutes on coding, 20 minutes on behavioral questions, and the last 10 minutes for your questions.
Introduction:
“Please tell me a little about yourself and what excites you about working on this particular project.”
Coding Assessment (30 minutes):
- We’ll present a coding challenge relevant to the role.
- We’ll use a shared platform (e.g., Sharepad.io) to work through the problem together.
- Note: Using AI tools to generate code during this assessment is strictly prohibited and raises a red flag.
- You’ll be asked to walk us through your thought process and reasoning. We may follow up with questions to test your ability to adapt and think critically.
What We Look For:
- Correctness: Does your solution work?
- Problem-solving approach: How do you break down and approach the problem?
- Code style: Is your code clean, readable, and efficient?
- Communication: How well do you articulate your thought process and reasoning?
Behavioral Questions (20 minutes): We’ll ask a few questions to learn more about your experience and how you work with others. Examples include:
- “Tell me about a time when you led a challenging project. How did you approach it, and what would you do differently next time?”
- “Describe a situation where you had to resolve a conflict within a team. How did you handle it, and what did you learn from the experience?”
- “Can you share an example of a project that didn’t go as planned? What happened, and what did you learn?”
- “What project are you most proud of, and why?”
What We Assess:
- Communication skills: How effectively do you communicate your experiences?
- Depth: How thoughtful and reflective are your answers?
- Cultural Fit: Does your approach align with Taskify’s values (collaboration, innovation, resilience)?
Candidate Questions (10 minutes): We’ll give you time to ask any questions you have about the role or our company.
What We Look For: Are your questions insightful, demonstrating curiosity and a genuine interest in Taskify?

Phase 3: Final Decision
Objective: Make a final decision based on the interview outcomes. If you’re selected, you will receive an email with all the details regarding your hiring. If you’re not selected for this specific role, don’t be discouraged—there may be other opportunities at Taskify in the future.
By following these tips and preparing well, you’ll be in a strong position to succeed during our interview process. We look forward to learning more about you!
